חודש אלול

(This is very obvious, but personally I needed to point it out to myself...)

It's חודש אלול.  The ימים נוראים are almost here.  Looking back over the past 11 months -- so much has happened, both in our personal lives and to all of us as כלל ישראל.  Looking back, I'm absolutely amazed at how much can happen in a year.  Within the year ה'תשע"ב, so many things happened that never even crossed my mind last ראש השנה.  And yet, last ראש השנה every single one of those things was decreed to occur... The decree was sealed before I even thought about davening for it.  It's scary to think about. 

Another ראש השנה is almost here.  Will I daven properly for everything that will happen in ה'תשע"ג???
